Principle of conventional heating systems!

Conventional heaters operate on the principle of convection. They give off their heat to the cold air near the floor. As a consequence this warm air rises, and fills the room from the top down and as it cools drops back to down to the floor.

The structure of the room doesn't warm up and the movement of air stirs up dust and bacteria and can provide a warm head and cold feet!

These systems can be expensive to purchase and to install. They often need an elaborate system of pipes to transfer the heat from the boiler to the radiators. The system will need somewhere to house the boiler and of course in some instances room is needed for the fuel.

Due to the size valuable living space is used up!

All in all quite an inefficient set-up!

Infrared heating on the other hand distributes its heat much more uniformly, heats the structure of the room, and creates a much more cosy and comfortable feeling of heat!
