Business has been steady in the last few years but it is time to step up a gear.
We have been specialists in selling infrared heating systems, for home, for office, for sport, for health, for fitness, just about anywhere you need heat infrared has a solution.
Yes, infrared uses electricity to operate but it uses it efficiently and uses less of it than traditional electric heating systems, and depending on how it is used it gives traditional energy sources a run for their money to.
We aim to stay in that market, selling affordable, energy efficient electric heating systems.

Multiheat is aiming to be more local!
Multiheat is an internet based company, selling our range of infrared heaters all over the UK. We still do that and our main website www.multiheat-energysystems.co.uk has plenty of information that you can read to find out more how infrared heating works and how it can save you money on your electric heating bills.
We are however based in North Devon, a short way out of the town of Bideford which itself is about 10 miles west of Barnstaple, and we feel it is time that we started to let the people of North Devon know that we are here, so we have set up a new website www.bidefordheating.co.uk and over the coming months hope to promote ourselves more in our own local area.
Living rurally we understand the need for affordable, easy to install and cheap to run electric heating.
Slim white panels that are simple to fix high on a wall or ceiling can free up valuable wall space.
Infrared heating panels provide comfortable all round warmth, warming objects and people directly without actually heating the air itself, working just like the suns warmth infrared warms objects which in turn give off warmth to heat the air. So, no hot stuffy air, no noise, no lights or switches and no maintenance or servicing and will look good for many years.

Do you have electric heating - then zone your house!
Most central heating systems are just that - central heating.
They have a central control unit that will work on a timer and thermostat, and at the allotted time it will turn your heating system and warm your house to the temperature as stated on the thermostat. We can add additional control to each room by adding a thermostatic valve, but these are normally changed manually when wanting a room to be either warmer or cooler than the central thermostat.
If you turn the valve up and forget to turn it back down again, then the central heating system, when it next comes on, will warm that room up to its new setting. Quite a cumbersome way to control the heat in your home.
With electric heating there is no need to have a central control system, you can have a timer / thermostat on each electric heater, and therefore in each room/zone, or you can have 2 simple zones, one upstairs one downstairs, or 3 zones, or 4 and each zone can be set to come on at the time most suitable to that zone.
As an example, if you never visit your living room in the morning, then why heat it? You can set the living room to come on early in the evening and to keep the room warm until you go to bed, but in the morning the room stays cold, unlike the centrally heated home where that room will be heated in the morning regardless of the fact that you never go in there.
Are these controllers expensive - not really, you can find them available for £30+ each.

Everything needs electricity!
Well, not everything of course, but whether you use oil, gas or even biomass for your heating you still need electricity to make it work.
Again not strictly true as a wood burner or coal fireplace only needs human input to keep the fire going, but anything that you want to run automatically needs electricity. Most systems have a small computer inside them that makes the thing work and without electricity the computer bit doesn't work and so neither does your heating system.
So, if you pick an all electric heating system & there is a power cut, you are no worse off than your neighbour who uses either oil, gas or has a biomass system.
So, when considering a new heating system don't discount having an electric system!

When did they last take your meter reading?
I have just had my annual electricity bill - they didn't take a meter reading last year & they haven't taken a meter reading this year - they have taken a bit of a guess at it!
If I remember rightly, last year the guess was pretty accurate, I suspect because the quarter before the end of the year they did actually take a meter reading, but not having taken one since this years guess is hopelessly out - nearly £300 out!
I tried to enter a meter reading online, and they obviously don't believe it as it was rejected, and I now await someone to contact me, probably to arrange someone to come and take a meter reading! It does mean that I will take a bit more seriously the request to take meter readings regularly throughout the year so that the bill becomes a bit more accurate!
Now, what should I spend that £300 on?
