The sun and natural infrared

The sun produces many different types of rays, from microwaves to visible light to X-rays.

Only rays that fall in a certain spectrum (0.75 to 15 microns) do the heating.

These rays are called infrared rays:-

  • A - near
  • B - medium
  • C - far
The best and most efficient spectrum for heating is C, the far infrared (6 to 10 microns)

It is important therefore that an infrared heating panel produces most of its infrared rays in this optimum spectrum. INFRAPOWER panels, the ones that Multiheat sell, produce 99.82% of its output in this far range and more than 90% of it in the optimum spectrum (6 to 10 microns).

As tested by Seibersdord Laboratories in Austria.
