New technology developed in Austria.

New technology developed in Austria!

When INFRAPOWER introduced a completely new technology for our infrared heating panels, they revolutionised the efficiency of infrared heating panels.

They have continued to research and test, and they have done this in many different environments, and in many different application scenarios, both in Asia and in Europe.

These results combined with independent German data led to further development of the already high efficient infrared heating panels.

Infrapower have worked with Austrian/German technicians and a well known Austrian laboratory to continue to improve, test and compare their infrared panels against some well known competitors. The results have shown that Infrapower infrared panels perform 18% better than the best European manufactured models.

Together with a Japanese supplier Infrapower have found a solution to combine the highest grade carbon with the newest conductor technology in the market. This technology provides the following advantages:-

  • high surface temperature with lowest possible consumption
  • equal surface temperature on the total surface
  • highest possible output of infrared
  • safe and very durable

Hanging panels - landscape or portrait?

I was asked by a customer earlier this week whether our infrared panels need to be hung landscape, or could they actually be hung portrait.

To be honest most of our sales pictures nearly always show them being hung landscape, but there is no reason why they can't be hung the other way.

As can be seen in the above picture sent in by another customer, they do fit neatly when hung portrait!

Would you like to know more about infrared heating, then please check out our website www.multiheat-energysystems.co.uk for plenty of information!

50 watts per square metre of floor space!

Assuming that your property (residential or commercial) has been insulated to current modern standards then you will need around 50 watts per square metre of floor space to keep your room/property heated using infrared heating panels!

So, for a room about 12 square metres you need just 600 watts of power to keep the room warm!

All of the energy from the panel needs to come down into the room for this calculation to work, so sticking the panel on a wall will require a bit more power (yes, fit it on the ceiling to get maximum efficiency), got a lot of windows, you may also need more power (infrared will go through glass), always keep the door/window open letting in cold air, you might want to think about having a bit more power!

Call us to discuss your situation on 01237 451759 or contact us via our website www.multiheat-energysystems.co.uk - we will be more than happy to have a chat with you!

It's turned chilly!

Only 12 degrees centigrade in my office first thing!

Turned my 600w infrared heating panel on today and there is a nice feeling of warmth - plenty to be sat at my office desk and tap away on the keyboard without gloves!

My panel uses about a unit of electricity every two hours and will be on for about 6 hours today - a cost of about 36 pence - not bad to keep me warm whilst working!

My Multiheat infrared heating panel is about 4 years old now and during the cold months is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, while this time of year it is turned on as and when needed. Am really pleased with mine!

Why not try one - not sure? Get in touch and ask about our 30 day money back guarantee!

18% more infrared!

The manufacturer of our infrared heating panels, Infrapower, asked Seibersdorf Laboratories of Austria to test our panel against the European brand leader. The result: Infrapower panels performed 18% better!

The most important thing for an infrared panel is that it produces the highest possible percentage of infrared (and the lowest possible percentage of normal convectional heating).

Infrapower infrared heating panels do just that!

New infrared technology developed in Austria!

The manufacturer of our panels - Infrapower - had been working on a completely new technology which was introduced towards the end of the 2012/13 season. Since then they have looked at all of the data and have improved further for the coming 2013/14 winter season.

Infrapower have worked together with Austrian/German technicians and using a highly recognised Austrian laboratory specialising in improving and testing similar appliances to Infrapowers (Seibersdorf Laboratories) which independently tested all of the steps.

Infrapower and one of their Japanese suppliers have found a way to combine highest carbon nickel grade with the newest conductor technology in the market (used for all quality touch-pads for example and also the best USA/German/Japanese made photovoltaic modules). This technology provides for the following advantages:-

  • high surface temperature with the lowest power consumption
  • equal surface temperature over the whole surface
  • highest possible output of infrared
  • safe and very durable

Mirror infrared heating panels!

This 400w panel is just 60cm square and in the above picture sits above the bathroom sink!

It will heat a small room of around 6 square metres!

The bit I like about it is the fact that it doesn't steam up when on!

Also useful in hallways, downstairs toilets, etc...

Air is heated up by infrared but not in the way you know it!

The big claim of all infrared heating panel sellers is that the air is not heated up as it is in convection heating systems, because it heats up the bodies and surfaces in the room so you feel the benefit much more quickly than you do with traditional forms of heating!

But, why then do you control the panels with a thermostatic controller, because the thermostat measure the air temperature - the ambient temperature - in the room, so the air must get heated up - right?

Right, but it gets heated up as a bi-product of the system, not as the source of feeling warmth in the room.

Convector heating systems heat the cool air, the warm air rises in the room, as it cools it drops back down to be reheated and so on, the circulation of warm air around the room gives us the feeling that the room is warm, which is all nice and cosy!

Infrared heats the walls, the floor and the objects in the room, which in turn radiate warmth back into the room and therefore the air is heated and ultimately everything in the room is at the same temperature, you, the objects, the floor, the wall, etc... - infrared heating panels are therefore very efficient in that it is not just the air that is heated!

Try opening a door in a nice warm room - in the convector heating scenario the air rushes out, being replaced by cool air and the system goes back into overdrive to heat the air up again so that you feel warm again. The infrared heating system still loses the air but the infrared is still keeping you warm, still keeping the walls, floor etc... warm, and the amount of energy used to reheat the air is less, as the infrastructure of the room retains its heat far better than the disappearing air.

I hope that made sense, if not, please call us on 01237 451759 and we'll try to explain it better!

Garden Rooms! So many uses!

Garden Rooms can have many uses, but as long as there is an electric supply to your garden room we can heat it! Our panels have a low electrical consumption, a 600 watt heater may be all you need.
  • Home office
  • Spa and therapy studio
  • Summerhouse
  • Workshop
  • Music room
Home office.
With the use of the internet, working from home is becoming more commonplace, whether that is to reduce commuting time and inconvenience or self employment and a better work life balance, more and more people are choosing to working from home. Working from a modern garden room, close to home, with good insulation and large sunny windows can be the most wonderful place to be, but when sitting at a desk all day the body is not generating energy to make its own warmth, it is easy to feel chilly, a spring morning can be cold or an autumn day may feel damp, an infrared heating panel on the wall above the desk will provide almost instant warmth without creating the dusty and drowsy environment caused by small fan heaters. An infrared heating panel is cheap to run with a low energy consumption it can be fitted to the wall and the cable cut short to the nearest plug socket, safe from being a trip hazard and has a smart and stylish appearance.

Spa and Therapy studio.
If you are considering having a new building for a spa or running your own therapy business from home a newly built garden room will have all energy efficiency measures in place, from well insulated walls and floor to double glazing but often with no heating, this is left to the client. Infrared panels are an ideal choice for warming people, especially when sat still, as the infrared rays can be felt on the skin providing a deep down warmth and promoting good blood circulation. Panels can be positioned above the therapy couch to target warmth. We have successfully supplied infrared heating panels to hot yoga studios, yoga rooms and other therapy studios.

Summerhouse.
Our heating panels can be fitted with feet to enable the heater to stand on the floor. The heater will provide a gentle warm to the skin similar to sitting in the sun whilst you are in the summerhouse, infrared warms people and objects rather than the air itself, so you will feel warm even though the air temperature will still be low. If you use the summerhouse regularly it would be worthwhile insulating the walls to maintain warmth. Our panel is not designed to be portable, care should be taken not to touch or move the panel when hot.

Workshop.
Working in a cold workshop or shed can be very difficult in the winter. Often these buildings are not insulated so any heat created by fan or gas heaters is simply lost, our infrared panel heaters will warm you rather than the air. Infrared panel heaters provide almost instant warmth, there is no warm up period, so energy is not wasted. Fit a large heater on the ceiling above the workstation to feel the full benefit of infrared, once fitted the heater is out of harms way from accidental damage and will not be a tripping hazard.

Music room / playroom.
Heating panels fitted in the ceiling cannot be touched or tampered with by children, use a simple plug in timer to create a gentle background warmth this will also prevent the heater being left on. Background warmth can also help prevent the damage caused by damp and cold in the worst of the winter. Infrared heating panels have a lower energy consumption compared to other forms of electrical heating and are much cheaper to run.

Black glass - a modern look!

Feature glass infrared heaters have a highly polished surface, the corners are gently rounded, and the surface is plain and smooth with no lights or switches to spoil the modern clean lines. Our panels do not have a visible frame. The glass surface is very slim with hidden framework bars on the reverse, which hold the panel away from the wall, thus giving the illusion that the heater is floating on the wall. In all it is only 2.5cm deep.

The black glass panels add a contemporary look & feel to a room or modern office environment!

Glass infrared heaters!

Why glass?

Infrared is part of the light spectrum and just as light passes through glass so does the infrared!

Unlike our standard panels which have an aluminium frame our glass infrared heating panels have a highly polished surface, the corners are gently rounded, and the surface is plain and smooth with no lights or switches to spoil the modern clean lines. The glass surface is very slim with hidden framework bars on the reverse, which hold the panel away from the wall, thus giving the illusion that the heater is floating on the wall. In all it is only 2.5cm deep.

We do white glass, black glass & of course mirror finish glass panels!

Don't forget that we offer a 30 day money back guarantee! If you decide infrared heating is not for you, return the panel to us within 30 days in its original packaging and we will refund your money in full (the only costs to you is the return postage)!

Would you like a quote?

There are certain bits of information that we need to be able to give you a quote - simple things like this:-

  • What size is your room?
    • length & breadth
    • ceiling height
  • Will you be fitting the panel to the ceiling or on the wall?
  • Is your house of modern construction & well insulated?
  • Does the room have a large expanse of windows?
To give you a quote for the right size of panel and the price that is all we need.

We can then start talking about how you want to control the panel (thermostat/timers etc...) and who you are going to get to fit the panel (electrician/diy) and give you guidance and if necessary the prices of your infrared heating panel!

If you have a larger project we will need this information for each room that you require an infrared heating panel.

We do not do house visits, we are an internet based company, but we can find you a local electrician who will visit and give you advice on installation and if appropriate bring along a panel for you to see!

You can call us on 01237 451759

Home owners are becoming far more aware of energy usage

Finding ways to reduce energy consumption and create a more efficient home, simple ideas like loft or wall insulation can produce some excellent savings.

Traditional methods of heating with boilers and radiators are expensive and time consuming to install, radiators are often fitted where it is most convenient for the plumber rather than considering the layout and furnishings of the room, and usually one single programmer will control the whole central heating  system, so even if one room is in use the whole house must be heated, causing a huge waste in energy.

An awareness of energy efficiency has brought about changes in our thought processes and habits.

Infrared heaters have been in use in Germany, Austria and The Netherlands for more than ten years, these countries have always been far more environmentally aware and ahead of others, this infrared technology is now widely available in the UK to home owners wishing to reduce their electricity consumption.

Our standard white panels are ideally suited to homes, whether new build properties, retro fitting or extensions, the white colour is designed for use on domestic ceilings, the power levels are generally suitable for one panel per room of the house.

Installation is required by a competent electrician who can fit the panels along with room thermostats or timers for even greater efficiency.

If you are renovating an older property with larger rooms, high ceilings or a damp problem please talk to us before ordering or position more smaller panels to best advantage, cold uninsulated properties will need more power to retain warmth, this applies to any heating method.

Check out our website for more details:- infrared heating panels
