Multiheat is an internet based company, selling our range of infrared heaters all over the UK. We still do that and our main website www.multiheat-energysystems.co.uk has plenty of information that you can read to find out more how infrared heating works and how it can save you money on your electric heating bills.
We are however based in North Devon, a short way out of the town of Bideford which itself is about 10 miles west of Barnstaple, and we feel it is time that we started to let the people of North Devon know that we are here, so we have set up a new website www.bidefordheating.co.uk and over the coming months hope to promote ourselves more in our own local area.
Living rurally we understand the need for affordable, easy to install
and cheap to run electric heating.
Slim white panels that are simple to
fix high on a wall or ceiling can free up valuable wall space.
Infrared heating panels provide comfortable all round warmth, warming
objects and people directly without actually heating the air itself,
working just like the suns warmth infrared warms objects which in turn
give off warmth to heat the air. So, no hot stuffy air, no noise, no
lights or switches and no maintenance or servicing and will look good
for many years.
Any questions, please call Heather on 01237 451759 who will be pleased to help!

Set points on thermostats.
Long gone are the days when your central heating system was either on or off.
When they were on they were controlled by a single thermostat that you had to either turn up if you were too cold, or down of you were too hot.
The modern thermostat controllers are now on all the time and you set the temperature at the level you want at a certain time of the day, so for example, when you get up the set point is 21 degrees C, but when you go to work the set point is set at 14 degrees C, when you come home from work the set point may be 18C increasing to 21C when it is time to sit down to watch TV, and when it is bed time it is reduced to 14C.
Most well insulated houses probably do not get below 14 degrees and so the boiler/heating system never comes on, but if it does for some reason then the boiler comes on for a short period to maintain that temperature. This is actually more efficient than having your heating system have to heat the house from a much lower starting point.
Let's say the house does get to 10C, and the system didn't come on until half an hour before you wanted it to get to 21C, it would have to work an awful lot harder and probably wouldn't make it in time whereas if it has been set at 14C, then it doesn't have to work any where near as hard to get up to 21C.
There are many thermostat/controllers on the market and most of them work to this principle. We recommend a few which we sell on our website www.multiheat-infrared-heating.co.uk

The heating season comes to an end!
Of course that doesn't mean people stop buying heaters, it just means most people have other things on their mind. The weather forecast this week would tend to point people into going out to buy BBQ's. Unfortunately we don't sell BBQ's, we sell heaters.
We do have a special offer on at the moment - our 400w Mirror Heater - reduced from £359.99 down to £225.00, both prices including VAT & delivery. We have four in stock and when they are gone, they are gone. This is correct at time of posting - 13th April 2015!
Talking of BBQ's we will soon have a range of outdoor heaters, some to sit nicely under a parasol or umbrella, and some larger ones to fix more permanently on a wall and aiming to heat the whole terrace or patio.
To keep informed why not sign up for our Newsletter - we only send it out monthly and it is often the first way you will hear about new products and special offers.
