Last week we provided the necessary garden tools and fruit tree seedlings to plant 131 fruit trees for families in Peru that will create an orchard of fruits that improves nutrition and generates income in the long run. A fruit tree not only restores the neighbourhood environment, but it also provides the family with additional nutrition from the fruits. In addition, the fruits can be harvested and sold in the local market to increase income.

·        We also helped plant 34 vegetable or fruit tree that provides food of nutritional value in a rural area in India by financing the purchase of saplings, compost and a tree guards. It is necessary and important that pregnant women, who suffer from more health problems due to low education and poor socio-economic conditions, and their unborn children living in rural areas, have access to nutritious food to lower the incidence of infant and adult mortality rate, as well as to birth a healthy child to society.
