Where does infrared come from?
We all radiate out infrared heat. Thermal imaging cameras
sense the heat being given off by a body, and this heat is infrared. Obviously
the biggest body around is our sun, and even on a cold day we can feel the
warmth given off by the sun, and that warmth is infrared.
