I remember a few years back being told - never sell on price - if you keep selling at a discount to make a sale you might just as well reduce your price in the first place!

There are times however when you need to shift stock, either because new & improved stock is coming in and you need to clear the shelves, or because it is out of season and you need to generate a bargain like atmosphere for people to buy things that it really is the wrong season to but it normally!

We see big high street names doing both, so why shouldn't it work for small businesses too!
