The UK government launched the RHI in November 2011 with a scheme for the non-domestic sector that provides payments to industry, businesses and public sector organisations. They have now set out plans for providing longer term support for homeowners - full details can be found on the government website HERE!
The payment tariff is as follows:-
- Air source heat pumps - 7.3p/kWh
- Ground source heat pumps - 18.8p/kWh
- Biomass boilers - 12.2p/kWh
- Solar thermal panels - at least 19.2p/kWh
I have had a biomass boiler installed this summer so that is good news for me at least! I'd be interested to know if anyone else is thinking or has had installed any of these systems.
